AtkynsonMono

Based on Atkinson Hyperlegible Mono, designed by the Braille Institute for readers with low vision. Letters that are easy to confuse, like 0 and O or 1, l and I, are drawn clearly apart.

MonaspiceXe

Monaspace Xenon, a slab-serif monospace by GitHub Next. Its serifs read as engraved and mechanical, like lettering on brass instruments. Nerd Fonts names it MonaspiceXe.

3270

A recreation of the font of IBM 3270 mainframe terminals, the most faithful retro terminal font in Nerd Fonts. Regular only.

Using & installing fonts

Applying a preset selects its recommended Nerd Font when that family is already installed, and each card in Stylesmith: Preset Gallery offers an inline Install button when it isn’t. Choosing a font in Stylesmith: Show Menu → Font (or running Stylesmith: Install Font…) also offers to download the NerdFontMono files from this project’s release, verify their built-in SHA-256, and install them for your user account without administrator rights. To install a font manually from its .zip above, unpack the NerdFontMono files and:

Windows: select the NerdFontMono files, right-click and choose Install (no administrator rights needed).
macOS: open the files and click Install Font in Font Book.
Linux: copy the files to ~/.local/share/fonts and run fc-cache -f.
Then restart VS Code, so it sees the new font.

Font licenses

The previews on this page use the Nerd Fonts builds of these fonts, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1: JetBrains Mono, IBM Plex Mono, Share Tech Mono, Departure Mono, Geist Mono, Space Mono, Atkinson Hyperlegible Mono, Monaspace, Recursive and Martian Mono; and 3270 under the BSD 3-Clause license. All come with the Nerd Fonts license.
